About Program

Objectives

1. Develop scholars with strong and in-depth understanding of the Quran, Sunnah, and other foundational sources of Islamic thought.
2. Cultivate a clear and constructive Islamic worldview that supports scholarship, research, intellectual development, and innovation.
3. Train students in contemporary methods and approaches used in Dawah and Islamic communication.
4. Introduce scholars to major modern ideologies, philosophical trends, and intellectual debates affecting contemporary societies.
5. Enable researchers to examine social and contemporary challenges in the light of Islamic sources and propose well-grounded solutions for human welfare.
6. Prepare qualified Islamic Studies scholars for responsibilities in legislation, research, education, administration, management, and emerging professional fields.
7. Develop responsible Muslim scholars and thinkers who can contribute positively within Pakistan and in international academic and professional environments.
8. Promote moderation, tolerance, unity, brotherhood, and ethical values through academic engagement, research, and Islamic literature.

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Qualification: Applicants must hold an MS or MPhil degree, representing 18 years of education, in Islamic Studies or a related discipline from an HEC-recognized university.
• Minimum Academic Requirement: A minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00, or First Division where the annual system applies, is required.
• Admission Test: Applicants must qualify NTS GAT Subject, ETC HAT, GRE, or the University Entry Test with a minimum cumulative score of 70%.
