BS Islamic Studies

About Program

The BS Islamic Studies is a four-year undergraduate program designed for students who want to build a strong academic understanding of Islam and its intellectual traditions. The program develops knowledge of core Islamic disciplines while preparing students to engage thoughtfully with the changing needs of Muslim communities in a contemporary global environment.

Through the study of Islamic thought, law, ethics, and related areas, students strengthen their understanding of religious scholarship and its relevance to present-day life. The program also encourages academic inquiry, responsible leadership, and a balanced approach to applying Islamic values in social and professional settings.

Objectives

  1. Develop a sound understanding of the fundamental principles of Islamic jurisprudence, Fiqh, and Islamic law.
  2. Build the capacity to investigate contemporary social and economic issues through structured academic research.
  3. Strengthen leadership qualities that enable graduates to contribute positively to the Muslim community in the modern world.
  4. Promote the universal Islamic values of justice, brotherhood, peace, responsibility, and ethical conduct.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed Intermediate (HSSC), FA, FSc, ICS, or an equivalent qualification. The program page specifies a minimum marks requirement in the 45–50% range.
  • Madrasah Qualification: Applicants holding a Madrasah certificate are required to provide an equivalence certificate issued by IBCC.
  • Admission Test: Applicants must qualify NTS NAT or the University Entry Test with a minimum cumulative score of 50%.
