About Program

The BS Commerce is a four-year undergraduate degree that builds a broad foundation in trade, finance, economics, and business management. Its curriculum covers key areas such as accounting, banking, business law, marketing, entrepreneurship, and other disciplines that support a practical understanding of modern commercial activity.

Throughout the program, students develop an understanding of business operations, financial systems, and commercial practices while strengthening their analytical and decision-making abilities. Graduates can pursue opportunities in corporate, banking, and public-sector organizations, including roles in accounting, financial analysis, auditing, marketing, and business development.

Objectives

  1. Provide students with essential business knowledge and practical skills and enable them to apply these effectively in professional settings.
  2. Develop a broader understanding of selected concepts, principles, theories, and arguments beyond the core areas of economics and business.
  3. Strengthen written and verbal communication skills so students can communicate business information clearly and effectively.
  4. Prepare students to work responsibly, respectfully, ethically, and professionally in a competitive and challenging business environment.
  5. Build problem-solving and teamwork capabilities that support collaboration and the achievement of group and organizational goals.
  6. Enable students to make fundamental investment and financing decisions by applying relevant financial management concepts and methods.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 4 Years: Applicants must have completed Intermediate (I.Com, DBA, D.Com, FA, or F.Sc) with at least 45% marks. A-Level applicants with 22 points may also apply, subject to submission of an equivalency certificate from IBCC Islamabad. An equivalent qualification from a recognized institution is also acceptable.
  • 2.5 Years: Applicants with 14 years of education, including BA, BSc, or B.Com from the annual system, or an Associate Degree in a non-business discipline, must have at least 45% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale from a recognized institution. After completing the Bridge Semester, students will follow the scheme from the 5th through the 8th Semester.
  • 2 Years: Applicants holding an Associate Degree under the semester system in Business Administration must have at least 45% marks or a minimum CGPA of 2.00 on a 4.00 scale from a recognized institution. Students admitted to this track will follow the scheme from the 5th through the 8th Semester.
  • Admission Requirement: Candidates are required to qualify an entry test and/or interview conducted by the University.
