About Program

The ADP Accounting and Finance is a two-year associate degree designed to introduce students to the essential principles of accounting, finance, and business. It provides a practical foundation in recording and interpreting financial information, understanding business transactions, and supporting routine financial and managerial decisions.

The program develops core skills in accounting, finance, taxation, auditing, business law, information technology, and quantitative analysis while also strengthening communication and professional awareness. Students are introduced to the legal, regulatory, and ethical considerations that shape responsible financial practice.

Graduates can pursue entry-level opportunities in accounting, banking, finance, audit support, taxation, and business operations in public or private-sector organizations. The qualification also provides a useful academic base for students who plan to continue their education in accounting, finance, commerce, or related business disciplines.

Objectives

  1. Provide students with a practical foundation in the basic concepts and methods of accounting and finance.
  2. Develop the ability to understand, organize, and interpret financial information used in routine business decisions.
  3. Introduce students to the legal, regulatory, and ethical responsibilities associated with accounting and financial activities.
  4. Strengthen communication, computing, quantitative, and analytical skills required for entry-level professional work.
  5. Build introductory knowledge of financial institutions, markets, taxation, auditing, and business finance.
  6. Prepare students for junior-level roles in accounting and finance and provide a foundation for progression to further study.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed FA, FSc, or an equivalent qualification with at least 50% aggregate marks.
  • Admission Test & Interview: Applicants are required to qualify the University admission test and interview. Candidates obtaining less than 40% marks in the test and interview will not qualify for admission.
  • NTS-NAT: Applicants who have secured at least 40% marks in the NTS-NAT are also eligible to apply.
